There are many games that PS3 owners would love to see trophy support added to such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword and Resistance Fall of Man however for those of you who think this is simply a patch away you are very much mistaken.

Senior Marketing Manager at Insomniac Games, James Stevenson decided to explain the process that developers have to go through in order to add trophy support to an older title via a comment on the PlayStation Blog.

Not nearly as easy as you think (involving re-opening long dormant
code, assigning people to it, testing it, sending it through
certification, etc etc) meanwhile, all of those resources code, and
are being used to make Resistance 3 the best game possible

So sadly it would seem that you will be waiting an awfully long time to see trophy support in your most requested titles.
