Mojang has released a new free update for Minecraft on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Vita that adds a brand new mini-game called Tumble.

The aim of the game is destroy the blocks under the enemies’ feet to send them tumbling into the lava below, with the last player standing being declared the winner.

“There are two variants of the game to choose from: one which lets players launch snowballs, the other equipping combatants with shovels,” the developer explains. “Each bout consists of a best of three, on a series of semi-randomized maps, each with several layers of differing materials and hazards. Do you duke it out at the top, or tactically drop a level, blasting your opponent?s perch from beneath? Take care not to get glued to slime blocks or trip over TNT!”

You may recognize the mode as a variation of the PC community game mode “Spleef.” Mojang has streamlined the mode for consoles so players don’t have to worry about resetting the map or keeping score.

Along with the free game mode, players can also pick up the first map pack for Minecraft‘s first mini-game, Battle. The map pack is priced at $2.99 and adds the Castle, Shipyard, and Invasion maps to the game.
