Titanfall

A new post to Titanfall 2‘s Frontier News Network blog offers more details on the upcoming Live Fire mode and also makes mention the next free map dropping for the shooter.

The post consists of a Q&A with Live Fire designer Griffin Dean who explains how the mode works, what inspired it, what he personally likes most about it, and more. Live Fire is unique to all other Titanfall 2 multiplayer modes primarily due to its speed. Consisting only of pilots, two teams of six race to capture an objective or eliminate the enemy team with no respawning and one minute rounds.

Live Fire is the first free DLC for Titanfall 2 in 2017, with a lot more free content on the way. The mode doesn’t have an exact launch date, but is confirmed to drop sometime in February.

The following March will see the release of the game’s second free multiplayer map, titled Colony. Colony is a remaster of the popular Titanfall 1 map, making its grand return in the sequel. This update will also include new weapons, balance tweaks, and much more.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
