Titanfall 2‘s highly anticipated Live Fire update finally has a release date: February 23rd.

The Live Fire update appropriately includes the Live Fire multiplayer mode, a new, fast-paced competition with short rounds and no titans that requires pilots to think quickly and act quicker. The mode was exhibited in a recent gameplay trailer.

Other features coming in the Live Fire update are listed in full on the PlayStation Blog post announcing the update’s release. The additional content includes a new Mixtape Matchmaking option, a new execution, two new Live Fire-exclusive maps, and more. The blog post also includes a list of Live Fire mode tips from designer Griffin Dean, covering strategy like being cautious around neutral flags and being a team player.

A significant Titanfall 2 patch will launch alongside the Live Fire update on February 23rd, the patch notes for which were recently detailed.
