Freebird Games has announced a spiritual prequel to its hit title To The Moon in the shape of A Bird Story.

While this isn’t a direct prequel to To The Moon it is set in the same universe and takes place before the events of To The Moon–a little confusing I know. The developer says that A Bird Story “revolves around a boy and a bird with a broken wing, and is told between a mix of memories and dreams with essentially no dialogue.

“While Dr. Watts and Dr. Rosalene aren’t in this game (chronologically, it takes place before their time), the boy in it eventually grows up to become their patient in “episode 2″ of the series,” the developer adds.
