Tim Longo, creative director for the recent Tomb Raider reboot and Star Wars: Republic Commando, has moved to 343 Industries to work on the Halo franchise.

Both Longo’s Twitter and LinkedIn profiles have been updated to reflect his new position as creative director at 343 Industries. Longo replaces previous creative director Josh Holmes, who now holds the title of executive producer for Halo, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The next Halo title will be an Xbox One exclusive and is scheduled to release in 2014. When asked why there was not a Halo launch title for Microsoft’s next-gen console, Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer revealed that the team had opted to develop Halo 4 for Xbox 360 instead.

Last night, at the VGX awards, Crystal Dynamics revealed a next-gen re-release for its Tomb Raider reboot, titled Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, which will feature TressFX, new physics simulations, and all previously released DLC. The Definitive Edition is scheduled to release January 28, 2014 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
