After a slight delay, Runic Games finally has a new release date set for Torchlight II, along with a trailer that highlights four of the new character classes. Torchlight II will be available on PC on September 20th, so get ready.
Each of the four classes shown in the trailer has a unique combat speciality, as listed below:
- Berserker — a melee focused attack-heavy class
- Engineer — heavy physical attacks and large ballistic weaponry
- Embermage — a specific type of magic user that’s proficient in fire
- Outlander — a revolver-toting, projectile-throwing rogue-type
Aside from the new class, the sequel also has Internet or LAN-supported co-op for up to six players.
Runic Games has boasted before about the size of the new game, stating that it’s more than four times bigger than the first Torchlight had been. Most players can pick up the sequel directly from Steam and Runic Games, but Torchlight II is also purchasable via Perfect World, GameFly, and GameStop.
