Total War: Rome II ‘Beasts of War’ DLC adds scorpions, snakes, elephants

Posted on February 19, 2014 AT 03:59am

The Creative Assembly has released a new DLC pack for Total War: Rome II that adds Celtic Warhounds, Syrian Armoured Elephants, Snake Pot Ballistas, Scorpion Pot Ballistas, and more.

Beasts of War will set you back $2.99 and adds seven new battlefield units to the game. “Marshall your savagery, and strike primal fear into the hearts of your enemies with the Beasts of War unit pack for ROME II. Comprising seven new battlefield units, Beasts of War brings further variety to ROME II’s already diverse unit roster,” the developer wrote.

“Terrorize your enemies and slow their progress with beehive, scorpion and snake-pot ballistas, or crush them under the weight of heavily-armored Cataphract Camels and Mercenary Syrian Armored Elephants. And when their will is broken and they flee the field, run them down with two new breeds of ferocious war-dogs.”

A full rundown of the seven newly added units can be found here.
