At next week’s Transformers-themed event Botcon 2011, Jagex Games Studios will have a nice surprise for attendees: the official unveiling of Transformers Universe, the new MMO where Autobots wage battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons.
Transformers Universe, which was previously known as “Transformers Online”, will be a browser-based MMO where players will not only be able to pick which side they want to fight for, but also create their own custom Transformer. In connection to this, attendees at Botcon will be able to try out this character customization feature, and then receive a printed copy of their creation.
People attending Botcon 2011 will also get the chance to check out exclusive behind-the-scenes footage for Transformers Universe, as well as the chance to meet some of the development team.
Unfortunately, no screenshots or further details for Transformers Universe have been released yet, but we expect we’ll get more of that once Botcon 2011 kicks off. If you’d like to sign up for updates, head over to the official website.
