Transistor coming to PlayStation 4, PC on May 20

Posted on April 10, 2014 AT 02:36pm

Supergiant Games has announced that their sophomore title Transistor will be launching worldwide on May 20.

“We’ve been putting the finishing touches on it and think it’s just about ready,” wrote writer and designer Greg Kasavin in a post on the Bastion developer’s official website.

Kasavin also confirmed that the release will be simultaneous across both PlayStation 4 and PC and announced a North American price tag of $19.99.

Set in a stylish, futuristic sci-fi world, Transistor is an action-RPG starring Red, a young chanteuse who finds herself in possession of a mysterious sentient sword, the titular Transistor.

Supergiant will also be in attendance at this weekend’s PAX East convention, where fans will be able to play a near-final build of the game on PS4. As Kasavin points out, it’s a fitting conclusion to their pre-release plans, since the game was first announced almost exactly one year ago at PAX East 2013.
