Transistor pre-orders for PS4 and PC versions, soundtrack now open

Posted on May 6, 2014 AT 12:55pm

Pre-orders for Transistor on PS4 and PC as well as the game’s original soundtrack are now available, developer Supergiant Games announced on their official blog.

PlayStation 4 pre-orders, I should note, will go live later today when the PlayStation Store updates.

Game pre-orders are both $19.99, though on Steam players can pre-order both the game and hte soundtrack for $29.98. The soundtrack alone will run $9.99 for the digital version and $14.99 for the digital version and a physical CD.

Like the game itself, the soundtrack won’t be available until May 20, with the compact disc version shipping “soon after.”

Transistor, for those of you new to the title, is a cyberpunk-inspired action-RPG from the makers of Bastion that features a time-freezing planning mechanic that allows players to employ strategic moves ahead of enemy turns. Supergiant first unveiled their follow up to Bastion just before last year’s PAX East.

Supergiant also released Transistor’s minimum system requirements for PC, which are as follows:

  • OS: Windows 7 or newer
  • CPU: 2.6GHz Dual Core CPU or greater
  • RAM: 4GB or greater
  • GPU: 1GB Video RAM or greater, e.g. Intel HD Graphics 3000, Nvidia 9400 GT, AMD HD 5450
  • Hard Drive Space: 4GB free
