Nintendo fans were obviously happy to hear the news yesterday that Modern Warfare 3 would be coming to the Wii this year, and today it has been revealed that Treyarch will be the developer responsible for making it happen.

The information was revealed during the One of Swords Podcast which is produced by Activision’s Social Media Manager, Dan Amrich.

Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist said;

The Wii has grown so much as a platform, and the great thing is
Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on Wii with Call
of Duty. Theyll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3,”

So, Modern Warfare 3 is coming to the Wii thanks to the guys over at Treyarch.

So it would appear that the job falls to the team with the most Wii development experience.
