A few weeks ago rumours began to spread that Treyarch were busy working on the next Call of Duty title after one of their employees was spotted playing an game known as “Iron Wolf” on Xbox Live, which many believe to be the code name of the next Call of Duty title due in 2012.

Several new job listings have appeared on Treyarch’s website and Gamasutra, one looking for a new Lead Multiplayer Designer requires;

“An expert understanding of the Call of Duty game universe.”

Also all of the new job listings end with the following note;

“With a successful track record, extensive infrastructure, and strong management, Treyarch has the solid foundation it needs to pioneer the Call of Duty franchise in the future.”

All of these listings seem to suggest that Treyarch are busy staffing for the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, but is this really a surprise considering Activision’s One Year On-One Year Off policy between developers.
