Trials Evolution Track Ranking Bug Fixed

THE BUZZ: RedLynx has released a fix for Trials Evolution that was causing popular tracks to disappear from the rankings.
The game was promoting new user tracks with high ratings ahead of established popular tracks. Now the ranking system will take into account the number of ratings as well as the total.
“We have worked closely with Microsoft to employ a Track Central fix addressing an issue affecting user-rating balance for player-created tracks,” RedLynx spokesman Jason Bates told Eurogamer. ”Now the rating scheme better takes into account the number of votes given and therefore those tracks with lots of excellent ratings given will appear higher than those with only a few. We’ll continue to work on this and other issues.”
EGM’s TAKE: In a game where user created tracks play a major part, having a fair rating system is important. To promote the community, you require those who create the best tracks to constantly be on display so reputations can be gained. Without this opportunity players will be less inclined to create top quality tracks.
