Kalypso Media has announced that it will be holding a closed beta test for its city-building title Tropico 5 this March.

“Do you want the chance to play the upcoming and highly anticipated fifth installment of the Tropico series? Under the wise and benevolent guidance of El Presidente, players can help make Tropico 5 the best game possible by taking part in a Beta test this March,” the developer wrote on its official forum.

“Registration begins today – so potential applicants should apply right now. We’re looking for gamers who have a huge enthusiasm for city-building titles and with a wide experience playing within the genre.”

Tropico 5 is set to release later this year for PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 4, and, in a first for the series, will feature cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to four players.

Interested fans can apply to be part of the beta here.
