In response to player feedback, Turn 10 Studios is in the process of adjusting Forza Motorsport 5’s economy, the developer announced today.

Over the weekend, starting Friday, November 19 at 12:01 a.m. PT and ending Sunday, December 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT, Turn 10 will mark down every car in the game by 50 percent.

Forza Motorsport 5 VIP members will receive the 2013 Lotus E21 as a thank you, and those who already purchased the Lotus E21will also receive the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. Players who purchased the LaFerrari Car Pack or the Forza Motorsport 5 Car Pass will get the 2013 LaFerrari as a gift.

Turn 10 is also “dramatically increasing” the credit payout in December to all Forza players through Forza Rewards, a loyalty program that rewards players with credits and cars.

Finally, Turn 10 will be addressing an unintended discrepancy that came up with the game’s Limited Edition version, which promised that the 1,250 in-game tokens it came with would allow players to purchase any car. After Forza 5 launched, players discovered that several cars cost more than 1,250 tokens. To remedy this, Turn 10 will be allowing players who purchased the Limited Edition to choose any on-disc car  they want. This offer must be redeemed by December 16.
