God of War and Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe revealed his new studio’s first project today during the PlayStation Experience keynote: a stylish third-person arena shoot called Drawn to Death.

Developed in collaboration with Sony San Diego, Drawn to Death is a fast-paced tactical arena shooter that pits 4 players against one another in a free-for-all within the unleashed imaginings of a teenage artist’s sketchbook.

“We want Drawn to Death to play like the offspring of an old school arena shooter (with updated, modern sensibilities) and a hardcore brawler/fighting game,” Jaffe wrote in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Jaffe did not provide a concrete release window, but did indicate that Drawn to Death would spend some time in Early Access, which interested players can sign up on the game’s official website.
