Twisted Metal

THE BUZZ: Eat, Sleep, Play, via its official Twitter feed, announced that Sony’s upcoming car combat reboot of Twisted Metal has gone gold. While there is no special edition of the game, players who pick up the game will get a download voucher for the much loved Twisted Metal: Black. Unfortunately, the game will be simple port of the Playstation 2 version and will not be in high definition. Twisted Metal is scheduled for release February 14.

EGM’s TAKE: We’re excited to get our hands on David Jaffe’s latest opus, and from what we seen of the game, all signs point to it being an old school throw back in the best possible way. Jaffe seems to understand a relaunch like this means an uphill battle on its hands, so providing a voucher for the a well loved game like Twisted Metal: Black is a smart move.
