Twitch TV App Goes Live on Xbox 360 Today

Posted on May 14, 2013 AT 11:53am

Videogame live stream and eSports vehicle Twitch TV’s Xbox 360 app goes live today.

Twitch TV considers itself to be the “ESPN” of gaming, and hosts a wide array of videogame coverage, notably games that fall under the eSports umbrella, including StarCraft II, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2—and other titles without a “2″ branded in their name.

According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson, Twitch TV has over 800,000 users trimming gameplay and 34 million viewers. The Xbox 360 Twitch TV app will give Gold subscribers access to the 300 most popular Twitch TV streams.

The May 21 Xbox Reveal will also be streamed over Twitch TV, moderated by Major Nelson himself.
