As promised, BioWare has released an official road map for Star Wars: The Old Republic in 2014, promising not one, but two digital expansions this year.

Senior Producer Bruce Maclean started by offering a brief overview of the game’s next three updates, which will start today, February 4 with update 2.6. Update 2.7 on April 8 will add two new Flashpoints on Tython and Korriban, Nightmare Mode for the Dread Fortress Operation, a new Huttball Warzone on Quesh, and a new Galactic Starfighter Battle Zone.

The final of these three updates is 2.8 on June 10, which is described as “the biggest update up to this point,” and adds Nightmare Mode for the Dread Palace Operation, new ships and a new ship role for Galactic Starfighter, and much more.

Maclean also added that a double XP weekend is planned for March 14.

However, the most important part of this roadmap came towards the end, where Maclean revealed that two digital expansions are in the works for the game. “Expect to see two digital expansions in 2014 just like you did last year, with one similar to Galactic Starfighter in scope and one more closely resembling Rise of the Hutt Cartel,” he said.
