In an interview with GameSpy, he explained that the game will support keyboard and mouse, but Ubisoft won’t be investing a lot of effort to them and so players should use a controller.
“We’re definitely supporting PC,” he said. “We love PC, but I think it’ll be PC with a controller. I don’t see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you have a controller.”

EGM’s TAKE: PC fans are not going to be best pleased by this statement. PC gaming is already struggling without big names like Ubisoft claiming that they won’t be paying much attention to the classic input method. It has its place for certain genres like MMOs, however when it comes to big name games it appears that the publishers are more interested in home consoles.
