Ubisoft – Assassin’s Creed III Should be Played With a Controller on PC

THE BUZZ: Assassin’s Creed III creative director Alex Hutchinson has advised PC players to play the game with a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse.
In an interview with GameSpy, he explained that the game will support keyboard and mouse, but Ubisoft won’t be investing a lot of effort to them and so players should use a controller.
“We’re definitely supporting PC,” he said. “We love PC, but I think it’ll be PC with a controller. I don’t see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you have a controller.”
Hutchinson also revealed that the reason there is no female lead in the game is due to the American Revolution being a time of men.
EGM’s TAKE: PC fans are not going to be best pleased by this statement. PC gaming is already struggling without big names like Ubisoft claiming that they won’t be paying much attention to the classic input method. It appears the more years that go by the further behind the PC falls. It has its place for certain genres like MMOs, however when it comes to big name games it appears that the publishers are more interested in home consoles.
