Nintendo’s mysterious NX will recapture the Wii audience, according to Ubisoft’s EMEA head, Alain Corre.
Ubisoft announced Just Dance 2017 for the NX, and Corre said that, after working closely with Nintendo on the system during its development, Ubisoft believes that Nintendo’s next console will regain the Wii audience.
“We have always appreciated the relationship with Nintendo, the co-creation and the fact that they are really concentrating on quality ? they have fantastic brands,” Corre told MCV. “And they are addressing the family market in a very different way, their own way, which we appreciate. We have done a lot of products and successes with Nintendo in the past, and we believe that the NX will recapture a lot the lapsed Wii players. So we will see when they release it, but we are confident.”
Even though games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wind and now Just Dance 2017 have been announced for the system, not much is known about the NX. The system is scheduled to launch sometime in March 2017.
