Ubisoft Clarifies How Assassin’s Creed III Micro-transactions Will Work

Yesterday details emerged of in-game currency for Assassin’s Creed III which is available to buy via real-money, pointing to the use of micro-transactions in the game. Ubisoft has now shed some light on the subject.

The publisher announced that all items that can be purchased with “Erudiot Credits” are available to unlock via normal means in the game, meaning that fans don’t have to spend any extra money if they do not wish to. “The Erudito Credits are a new way of unlocking content in Assassin’s Creed III‘s Multiplayer,” an Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.

“People who have little time can use Erudito Credits as a shortcut to unlock game items from level 1 to 50 (excluding Prestige levels and relics rewards). This is not mandatory, all items sold in Erudito Credits are also available in Abstergo Credits and can be unlocked through normal progression like previous years.”

So these credits are basically a quick way to unlock everything for fans who simply don’t have the time to spend unlocking them normally.
