Following leaked images and information reported by Kotaku earlier this week, Ubisoft today confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed: Unity and its French Revolution backdrop by way of a short reveal trailer.

“We have been working on a new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years,” reads the video’s description on YouTube, “and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand!”

On Wednesday, Kotaku—citing “a number of sources” including “developer sources”—reported on leaked, early build screenshots of Assassin’s Creed: Unity that revealed at the very least a Paris setting. The screenshots also indicated that movement in Assassin’s Creed would be changed up a bit with the addition of “Parkour Up” and “Parkour Down” buttons (these names, no doubt, serving as placeholders).

According to the the trailer, Assassin’s Creed: Unity will launch across PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC this holiday season.
