South Park

Ubisoft is holding a contest to see who has the best fart, and the prize is a walk-on role in South Park: The Fractured But Whole… for your butt sounds.

“I Am the Fart” is Ubisoft’s latest marketing stunt (after the Nosulus Rift) for the upcoming South Park RPG and offers players the chance to have their farts featured in the game. All you have to do is submit a 10-second video of your fart to the contest’s official website before October 16th.

From there, fans can vote on their favorite farts, and the top 10 highest-rated farts will be judged by a jury comprising of Ubisoft San Francisco developers, a South Park Digital Studios representative, and Mr. Methane, who became famous for farting thanks to Britain’s Got Talent.

Best of all, the winner will be flown to Ubisoft San Francisco to record their fart, which will then be added into the game.

You can watch the gassy contest trailer below (and you might want to wear headphones if you’re at work):

Jeez, where’s James Cameron when you need him?

South Park: The Fractured but Whole has already stirred a little controversy by making white privilege a game mechanic and by giving non-binary gender options for the character creator. We’re not sure a farting contest ranks at the top of The Fractured but Whole‘s more revolutionary satirical moments, but at least it’ll make one flatulent fan happy.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is launching for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 17th.

Spit white-hot fanboy hate at him, trash talk his Gold II rank on Rocket League, or maybe just send him a cordial hello on Twitter @gogogoroff.

Ubisoft is literally holding a farting contest

This might be the weirdest and dumbest thing ever to happen in the world of video game marketing.
