The recent announcement of Sony coming up with their new PSN Pass system isn’t the only sign of more companies joining the “buy the game new or pay to play online” moment.

Today, thesixthaxis.com reports that Ubisoft is the latest company to take up this idea, and will be implementing it in their upcoming Driver: San Francisco. Working their “Uplay” service, the game will come with a one-use pass that allows those purchasing the game new to play online, but after that a new pass will be needed to allow other owners (or even consoles) to play the same game.
