According to Ubisoft creative director Jean-Philippe Caro, the company is currently prototyping a sequel to last year’s ZombieU.

When asked by a Twitter user about whether fans can expect a ZombieU sequel, Caro tweeted back, “Thank you for your interest in zombie. The team is working hard on a prototype. it’s too soon to tell you more.”

Granted—and IGN points this out as well—a prototype does not guarantee a sequel, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. And with Rayman Legends wrapped up, Ubisoft Montpellier is free to move on to their next project. If nothing else, Caro—who acted as director on the first ZombiU—certainly seems interested in it, and by replying to the tweet is intentionally drawing public awareness about the potential for a ZombieU sequel.
