Ubisoft reveals Gods and Monsters, a new IP based on Greek mythology

Ubisoft revealed Gods and Monsters, a new IP from the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, at its 2019 E3 presser.

Not much was revealed about Gods and Monsters, but we do know that it’s a “storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods,” so it’s like the opposite of God of War.

Taking inspiration from Greek mythology, the debut cinematic trailer definitely looks like more stylized than Odyssey, with an art style somewhat reminiscent of Breath of the Wild. In the trailer, the game’s heroine faces off against what looks like a harpy.

Gods & Monsters launches on February 25th, 2020, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
