Assassin’s Creed IV director Ashraf Ismail has revealed that Ubisoft has a rough idea of how the franchise will end.

Speaking to Eurogamer he confirmed that there “is an end” to the franchise. As well as all the single game teams there’s also another team that “sits on top and is filled with writers and designers concerned with the series’ overall arc. So there is an overall arc, and each iteration has its place inside this.”

“There is an end” Ismail stated, but the planned ending could be changed at any point.
