Ubisoft Toronto has started collaborating with Ubisoft Montreal on the next Assassin’s Creed title, the one after Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, according to studio managing director Jade Raymond.
With the team’s work on Rainbow Six: Patriots’ multiplayer maps and Splinter Cell: Blacklist almost complete, Raymond discussed the developer’s future with Polygon. The studio has five titles that they will be working on once Blacklist ships, according to Raymond.
“We have two big collaborations coming that we’re not talking about, on two of the biggest franchises at Ubisoft,” she said. “We also have two new IP.” The fifth title will be a new entry into the Splinter Cell franchise.
While Raymond failed to mention anything specific about the new Assassin’s Creed game she did share that she was excited to work on the franchise she helped launch. “The thing that’s great to me is that there is still some of my favorite people who, you know, we were in the trenches shipping that first one,” she said. “We lived through all of that stuff together and some of those guys are still on the franchise and have been there. So it’s a just for me to work with some of those people again.”
