Udon Bringing Japanese Pix’n Love Sonic Retrospective To North America
Posted on July 2, 2012 AT 03:35pm

Plans to bring the Japanese Pix’n Love Publishing book chronicling the history of Sonic the Hedgehog to our shores in English look like they’ll finally be fulfilled, as UDON Entertainment announced today that they’ll be stepping up as the book’s North American publisher.
That book—titled The History of Sonic the Hedgehog here in the U.S.—is a 300-page hardcover tome looking back at the 20+ year life of Sega’s most famous (and infamous) mascot. The publication was a huge undertaking for Pix’n Love, detailing not only Sonic, his adventures, and the games which made him famous, but also every Sonic spin-off, crossover, cameo, and more. All of the work that went into the Japanese release will be retained in our version, just—obviously—with all of the text translated from its native language into English.
The History of Sonic the Hedgehog will retail for $49.99 when it hits stores this September. You can see a few samples from the book below.
