UK bookmaker William Hill has backed Call of Duty: Ghosts for Christmas number one ahead of Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 14. William Hill is currently offering odds of 6/4 on Infinity Ward’s shooter, with 2/1 on Grand Theft Auto V and 4/1 on FIFA 14.
“There is no doubting that GTA 5 will sit at the top of the games chart for a couple of weeks (at least until FIFA hits the shelves),” commented William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly, “but will it sustain enough momentum to make it top for Christmas? The odds would suggest it will fall just short.”
Grand Theft Auto V launches September 17 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to release November 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases following shortly after that.
