Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 are set to be pulled from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in the near future, Capcom has announced.

In the lead-up to the games being removed, Capcom will be holding a 50 percent off sale on all DLC for both games on the PlayStation Network. There were no details offered regarding a similar sale on Xbox Live.

The publisher added that the last day to buy the DLC off the PlayStation Store will be December 17 in North America and December 19 in Europe. The last day for Xbox 360 players is December 26 worldwide. Players who have already purchased the title will still be able to play it as normal.

Another fighting game, Skullgirls, is also set to be removed from both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
