The downloadable versions of Ultra Street Fighter IV will arrive in North America “soon after” the SFIV update hits Japanese arcades April 2015, Capcom announced today.
“We’ve been working hard to ensure that this is indeed the most openly influenced version of SF yet,” Capcom employee “ComboFiend” wrote in a post on Capcom-Unity. “Just on Capcom-Unity alone there was well over 20,000 comments that we had to go through to make sure that the most beneficial changes made it in, while also pleasing fans. That takes work people!”
Ultra Street Fighter IV adds new moves, new stages, and five new characters—Rolento, Elena, Poison, Hugo, and a yet-revealed fighte—and also tweaks Street Fighter IV’s balance. The update will be available as DLC on PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
“ComboFiend” also shared a few details on the four known new fighters, which you can check out (along with new screenshots of each fighter) on his Capcom-Unity post.
