THE BUZZ: Naughty Dog has released the Flashback Map pack for Uncharted 3, which contains four revamped Uncharted 2 maps.

The pack contains Cave, Fort, Lost City and Sanctuary, with all new weather effects and lighting to alter their look and feel. The developer also detailed three more DLC packs that are on their way to players: “The Rogues Pack 1 and Rogues Pack 2 will let you play as some of the major thugs and minor characters from Uncharted 3. Donut Pack 1 will giant-size some of your favorite Uncharted 3 heroes and villains.”

Finally the team also revealed a sneak screenshot (above) of an upcoming campaign DLC. “As you see we are currently hard at work on completely new DLC for your Uncharted  3 online adventure,” they said.

EGM’s TAKE: Naughty Dog is certainly hard at work in terms of Uncharted 3 support which will please fans immensley. The inclusion of a Flashback map pack is a staple for most online shooters as it’s quick and easy to churn since the basic assets are already on file. This doesn’t make it a bad thing, as it allows fans to enjoy classic maps that they thought dead and buried once the sequel came out. After reading this though everyone is interested in the Donut Pack and who can blame you? Giant characters running around will be amazing. Hopefully it’s free though as it may cause match making issues if usable online.

You can check out some screens of the Flashback map pack here.
