Naughty Dog has pushed a new update live for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End that brings an end to season 5 of the game’s ranked multiplayer.
The season only began on April 3rd, but an issue that prevented players’ progress from being reset has forced the developer to reset the whole season and move onto Season 6.
“With the launch of Ranked Season 5 on April 3, we identified an issue that prevented some players’ progress from being reset,” the developer explains. “To ensure a level playing field, we’re kicking off a new Ranked Season today that will be a clean start for all players. Any progress made in Ranked Season 5 will be reset, but don’t worry–any Ranked rewards you earned along the way will be retained.”
However, players will still get the chance to earn Season 5’s rewards if they didn’t during the last few weeks. At the end of the season, players will receive each Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hat corresponding to their final rank, and those who reach Gold III or higher will also receive the Season 5 Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt plus the Season 6 taunt.
As well as kicking off Season 6, the update also prevents an exploit on the Village map and increases the cost of Drake’s Aegis to 3 LP.
