Uncharted: Golden Abyss’ New ‘Intu-Aim’ Aiming Feature

THE BUZZ: When Nathan Drake brings his adventures to the Vita next Spring, he’ll be bringing with him a new tool: Intu-Aim.
For the upcoming Uncharted: Golden Abyss, the folks at Sony Bend Studios are using the Vita’s built-in gyros in order to help players get an extra dimension of aiming accuracy. You’ll be able to aim with the second analog stick, but then fine-tune your aiming by adjusting the Vita itself.
Of course, this feature will be optional—so those who want to stick with traditional aiming will be able to do so.
EGM’s TAKE: This is definitely one of those “need to try it” kinds of things, but I’m certainly glad to see the option available. In almost every case, I prefer more options, not less. Traditional second-stick aiming will still be available—so with that in mind, I’m glad to see Bend trying some different things that make use of what the Vita provides.
