If there’s any money left to be made in Hollywood from the Uncharted franchise, time is quickly running out—and the film project just lost its second director. However, the writers of the National Treasure movies might save it.

Variety reports that Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, the duo that wrote both of Disney’s National Treasure films, have been signed on to re-write “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune” for Sony Pictures.

It seems like a good fit at a glance, as the Wibberley husband-and-wife team actually penned two very solid movies with an incredibly dated premise that’s been covered back and forth by several movies already.

However, the most important goal of the new script will be to attach a new director to the project.

Neil Burger, director of Limitless and The Illusionist, is no longer part of the film’s production, which is likely a smart move considering how long the movie’s been in pre-production.

Mark Wahlberg was the last actor tied to the role of Nathan Drake, although Firefly and Castle star Nathan Fillion also expressed his desire to play the leading role, even sparking a Twitter campaign.
