THE BUZZ: Epic Games hopes to show off it’s next-gen Unreal Engine 4 publicly later this year.

The studio informed press at GDC that putting the demonstration behind closed doors and issuing developers with non-disclosure agreements, “wasn’t our decision.”

It has previously been rumored that the technology is already running on the next-generation Xbox.

EGM’s TAKE: If it wasn’t Epic’s decision then perhaps it was Microsoft who wouldn’t allow it out in the wild.because the tech was running on its new console? This is all conjecture of course, they could have simply meant that the big players behind Epic didn’t want secrets leaking out before they were ready to make a reveal.
