Double Helix Games has announced that it will be offering all Killer Instinct players a “clean slate” in an upcoming patch for the game that will wipe all Jail statistics.
The developer’s new Jail system hasn’t rolled out perfectly and as a result it has announced that all players will be offered a fresh start. The upcoming patch will also fix a bug that caused both players to be sent to jail on a disconnect and will adjust the percentage rate for match disconnects that cause a user to be sent to Jail.
For those who don’t know, the system was introduced last patch and sees a player sent to Jail if they disconnect from too many matches in a short period of time. Once in Jail, a player can only fight other players who are also in Jail. A player must remain in Jail for 24 hours and this time will be increased by a further 12 hours (to a maximum of 120) for each subsequent visit.
This patch will also make some changes to the game’s newest character Spinal. Fixes include a bug that caused the game to crash upon using teleport against an opponent in the corner has been fixed, a bug that made manuals unbreakable after using dive kick as an opener, and another that prevented counter breakers from being used after using dive kick as an opener.
