THE BUZZ: Yesterday, we mentioned that Battlefield 3 Community Manager Daniel Matros had revealed that “new stuff” for Battlefield 3 would be announced, however, there was a misunderstanding that he has now clarified.
Matros said that he meant that new content was being created yesterday and that the actual announcement wouldn’t be for a few weeks.
“New stuff happening as in ‘new stuff happening in the studio today that will be announced later on’,” he tweeted, adding: “We´re a few weeks away from it but yes, it will be something people have been looking forward to.”
EGM’s TAKE: This could be a lot of things. Most fans seem to be leaning towards the introduction of the long promised Battlerecorder, that would allow you to film matches and play them back. This does seem the most likely announcement, as it’s the only confirmed piece of tech missing from the game, although there are other possibilities. It could be a new DLC pack, or as the more hoping fans are suggesting, a Dinosaur horde mode add-on. Whatever it is we’re sure a couple of hints will be dropped before the official announcement in a few weeks, because that’s how gaming works.
