THE BUZZ: Can’t wait to get your hands on Diablo III? Wanting to find out more about the next World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria? Wonder about StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm? New info on dates for answers to those questions was released today.
EGM’s TAKE: So, as part of an Activision Blizzard Fourth Quarter Calendar 2011 Results conference call that happened just a few hours ago, a few tidbits of information have been uncovered.
First up is a clearer idea of Diablo III‘s release window. According to conference call documents, the targeted launch date for Diablo III is “Q2″—meaning sometime from April to June of this year. As well, another point noted is that beta testing and auction house testing is “going well”.
As for World of Warcraft‘s next big expansion—Mists of Pandaria—more information on it will be hitting on March 19th as part of a global press event.
One other point was brought up by Nirolak over on NeoGAF: given that only two games are set for release by Blizzard in 2012 (Diablo III and Pandaria), that means that StarCraft II: Heart of the Storm may have been pushed to 2013.
