Users Get Lots of Free Games After EA Origin Survey Code Error
Posted on October 15, 2012 AT 03:59am

Gamers managed to secure a lot of free games over the weekend following an error with a survey code offered by EA.
In exchange for completing a brief survey EA offered a $20 discount code for use on the U.S. and Canadian Origin store. The problem was that the publisher forgot to secure the code meaning it could be used by anyone as many times as they liked. So of course somebody put the code on Reddit, upon which all hell broke loose and all EA could do was sit and watch.
Following this free game extravaganza Origin community manager Sam Houston took to the EA forums to deliver the following message, “The coupon code is now expired. We’ll honor all sales made with the coupon code over the weekend and hope fans enjoy their games.”
Someone at EA is going to be put on the naughty step today.
