The Valve hardware engineer who apparently revealed that the company’s Steam Box console would be launching in 2013 has commented on the reports.

Ben Krasnow told Engadget that he didn’t specify anything about 2013 in his speech last month despite what website Golem.de reports. “With regards to the Steam Box news – there has been a lot of things that we are working on getting Steam into the living room, and are planning for a hardware box, but we have no current plans to announce anything in 2013,” he said.

So that’s that cleared up then.
