Valve has confirmed that its upcoming online action game Dota 2 (Defense of the Ancients 2) will be free-to-play with the help of an online store.
Customers can play the game without paying anything at all, however they will have to pay to change the look of in-game characters. The Dota Store will offer an extensive range of virtual apparel and accessories. The developer also hopes that players will create and trade their own items – similar to Team Fortress 2.
Players can also gain immediate access to the game’s beta by purchasing a bundle of items from the store.
