THE BUZZ: It has been confirmed that vampires will not just appear in the The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but you can also play as the pesky blood-suckers!
A few months back it was revealed that vampires would be featured in-game, but it has now been confirmed that you will be able to contract their disease and, if left untreated, your character changes. Soon, you assume the familiar traits of the fanged-toothed, including an overwhelming need to drink the blood of sleeping NPC’s and an aversion to sunlight.
Todd Howard, Game Director at Bethesda told G4TV:
“You can contract that disease, and if you wait long enough, you’ll become a vampire and that’s a whole another mode of playing the game.”
If you don’t wish to become a vampire you can heal the disease before it takes hold.
EGM’s TAKE: If you weren’t excited for Skyrim before (why you wouldn’t be is anyone’s guess) then this has to peak your interest. We can’t wait to explore all the layers this game has to offer.
