Velocity Ultra, the HD remake of FuturLab’s 2012 PlayStation shoot ‘em up title, is coming to Windows PC through Steam December 12, PC developer Curve Studios announced today.

The Steam release will take full advantage of the service’s various offerings, including such Steamworks support as leaderboards, achievements, and Steam Trading cards. The PC version will, of course, allow for keyboard and mouse control, permitting players to completely configure the keyboard as they see fit.

A sequel to Velocity Ultra titled Velocity 2X is currently in development for PS4 and Vita, set to release sometime 2014.
