Vita games Will be Cheaper On PSN Than Retail

THE BUZZ: Sony has confirmed that digital versions of Vita games will be cheaper than retail.
“I can confirm that there will be a discount on the downloadable PS Vita titles from PSN. Exact details have not yet been revealed, but be on the lookout for an announcement in the very near future,” a Sony representative told Shacknews.
EGM’s TAKE: This shows how committed Sony is to moving towards a digital only release system. However, this will only be worth it if it truly is easier for fans, as long as there are no download issues and games install quickly. The discount will be small, maybe 10-15%, so you have to ask yourself if you’re willing to wait 3 hours for a game to download and install or buy a boxed version for a little bit more. The answer to this question will decide the direction in which Sony takes its systems in the future. Size comes into play as well, the Vita only comes with a 4GB memory card, which won’t allow you to store a lot of games, so your only choice is to purchase a bigger card offsetting the discount from the digital versions.
