If happened to miss the announcement at Anime Expo, Sony wants to remind you that Crunchyroll is coming to the PS3, letting you stream your favorite episodes of Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, and half a dozen different Gundam series to your console. But that’s not all, as Viz Media’s competing Neon Valley channel is getting added to the console’s online catalogue, too.

Viz Media revealed Neon Valley this past June, although specific consoles hadn’t been marked. Now, it looks like Sony has first dibs on it for the PS3’s PlayStation Network.

Neon Alley costs $6.99 flat, but unlike Crunchyroll, it has a set schedule of shows and content, so it’s more like a standard streaming TV channel. Anime-watching purists may not like though, as all those shows are dubbed in English—some of us like our subtitles just fine, thank you.

In case you forgot, Crunchyroll has a larger variety of deals and content, mostly dependent on whether you watch anime or Asian dramas. Here’s the quick price breakdown from Sony:

And if you’re not a member yet – you can also sign up for a 30-day free trial directly from your PS3. The packages include Anime membership (all anime titles and simulcasts for $6.95 per month), Drama membership (all drama titles and simulcasts for $6.95 per month), or All-Access membership (all titles and simulcasts for $11.95 per month).

There’s no update on an official release date for either steaming service for the PS3 or PlayStation Vita, although Sony previously said that “summer” was the target window. Right now, it sounds late “late fall” is the new range that Sony’s claiming.
